Rachel Brown

Rachel Brown

Rachel Brown

Editor

Rachel joined ICR in 2023 as a recent Baylor graduate (Sic ‘em!) to serve as an editor in the Communications department. Naturally, she loves to read and will read anything, but her favorite kind of literature consists of 19th century novels, and she is especially passionate about idealized, secondary characters in these texts. In addition to working with words, Rachel loves cats, going on long walks, traveling, listening to live music, and spending time with her friends and family. Her other hobbies include playing piano, doing judo, and lindy hop swing dancing, or really any kind of partner dancing even if she only knows the basic steps. She is excited to be a part of the ICR family and contribute to their mission.

Jayme Durant

Director of Communications

Jayme Durant is the Director of Communications at Institute for Creation Research. During her over 13 years at ICR, she's worked with a fabulous team of creative writers, editors, graphic designers, communications and publishing specialists, and masters of media. She says, "They're more than colleagues—I treasure them as friends for life!" When she's not at work, she's most likely spending time with family and friends. But every now and then, you can find her sitting under a tree with a book and a journal, dreaming of snow-covered mountains, a crackling fireplace, and a mug of steaming hot chocolate. She says, "While writing about life's mysteries and challenges is a thrill, the biggest story of my life is how Jesus poured out His grace to me—I'll never get over His extravagant love."

Renée Dusseau

Renée Dusseau

Loraine Fausak

Editor

Loraine joined ICR as an Editor in October 2020 and enjoyed coming aboard in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic. Between formatting ebooks, writing children’s books, checking everyone’s grammar, and illustrating comics for Acts & Facts, Loraine’s days are as multifaceted as a cut-cornered diamond. Besides long walks on the beach, Loraine loves a fiery sunset, catching a wriggly fish (and letting it go), the calm waves of the ocean, and the blessing of a happy meal at home. Doesn’t God make wonderful things? And yet Heaven will be better still.

Beth Mull

Senior Publishing Manager

Beth’s adventure at ICR started on May 1, 2007, and she’s been chasing typos in Acts & Facts and Days of Praise ever since. When she started, ICR’s main office was still in California, so there were only eight people on the Dallas campus. It’s changed a lot since then. When not wrangling grammar, she enjoys reading, word games, and pestering her cats, Keishi and Ryuji.

Frank Sherwin

Science Writer

Frank received his bachelor's degree in biology from Western State College, Gunnison, Colorado, and in 1985 obtained a master's degree in zoology. He published his research in the peer-reviewed Journal of Parasitology. In 2021, he received an Honorary Doctorate of Science from Pensacola Christian College. He is a speaker for ICR and contributes his scientific expertise to a variety of ICR's publications on creation science. He enjoys Shakespeare and jogging.

Susan Windsor

Susan Windsor

Susan Windsor

Sr. Design Manager

Susan has known about ICR since the 1980s when she lived in California. So, when she moved to the Dallas area in 2008, she sent in her resume hoping they needed a graphic designer. Thankfully they did, and she’s been working in the Communications department ever since. Susan is also a watercolor artist and loves painting images of God’s creation in her free time. At her church, she helps with the preschoolers and the Awana program. She lives just north of Dallas with her husband, children, and their dog Sunny.
